it is true - it broke right away! May 03, 2010 Although it was fun in the meantime (and still afterwards), the plastic support did break right away. This weekend, I replaced it with a playhut one I found at a garage sale!
princess tent Apr 25, 2010 This tent is fun. my one year old fell against it many times without breaking it, however our cat jumped on top of it and snapped a rod. i have it splinted now and it is working just fine. there is no bottom to this tent but that is fine with us, i have pillows and a blanket in it for her and am able to take them out and wash as needed. Overall a great purchase
Makes for Great Playtime. Mar 16, 2010 I bought this for my 3 y/o little girl, she loves making houses with the couch cushions, so this little castle is perfect for her. She loves it and plays inside and outside with it. It was very easy to assemble and take apart to put away. It also make for easy cleaning, just throw it in the washer. I would definitely recommend this to anyone with a small child.
Kids like it... BUT..... Mar 14, 2010 I am totally happy with this toy as far as the value the kids place on it- It is super easy and fast to set up and take down-and the kids love to play in it-
However, I didn't open the box right away when I got it because it was for a birthday- and when I went to set it up-there were only three flags and the tent had stains on the front that looked like stuck on gum or some kind of food like the tent had been used. Also the coloring of the tent is really faded and does not look nearly as nice as the photo. I'm pretty sure this tent was used and was sold to me as if NEW, it definetly was NOT. I also thought the tent would be a little taller it's pretty short- another problem I had with the flags- they are just plastic straws that the flags slip over- so I had to glue them on to keep them from comming off all the time- and they don't stand up in the tent- they just flop over-
Thought this would be super... Mar 04, 2010 Bought this tent for our 3 year old and 18 month old daughters. They could both fit inside the tent (but it was a snug fit for the two of them) and enjoyed playing with it. We really thought this could be a great deal at the price point. However:
Double-check the dimensions. Both my wife and I thought it would be larger, based on the photographs. So checking the measurements will insure no surprises.
Like other reviewers said, the flags wouldn't stay up and this troubled the oldest kid for some reason.
The tent lasted about 10 days when one of the plastic "support" poles broke in half when our 18 month old tripped coming out of the tent.
So, we had to return it to Amazon, who took it like a champ. We're now in search of a better tent and realize we'll probably have to pay up a bit to get something that will last.
