Very Girlie Jul 15, 2010 Great cozy coupe....once you put it together. I have twin girls so I had to do it twice. Watching the video was a huge help but even with that it took over 2 hrs to get the door in. With the help of the video the rest took about 35 min. to complete.
present for 2 year old daughter Jun 24, 2010 I bought this for my 2 year old daughter because she is still a little to short and uncoordinated for a trike. She loves to sit in it and have me or Daddy puch her around, but still hasn't gotten the concept of doing it herself. We have only had a week, and she is in it everytime she goes outside.
It is a little smaller than I thought, my 3 year old son who is tall but thin, is almost to big for it. i got it on sale so it has definitely already been worth it. I don't think I would buy one for full price though.
Overall it was a good buy and she enjoys it. Guess I could have put that to begin with!!!
Well-worth the effort! Jun 23, 2010 My first and foremost piece of advice would be to not even look at the directions in the box and go to straight to the online instructional video. I started to semi-hyperventilate knowing I had to put this togethor in 90 minutes (my daughter's naptime,) but once I went to the video...I realized it was doable. The hardest part was fastening the screws by the cupholder...it is too narrow and awkward for a drill or screwdriver to do the job without coming an inch from losing your mind.
There was a little bit of blood, sweat & tears involved in assembling the Little Tykes Princess Cozy Coupe...but like childbirth, it is all well-worth it in the end. Just a note: I was concerned about this being too small for a tall 2 yr. old and the chance of possibly outgrowing it too fast, but it is quite tall and roomy. Don't hestitate to get this for an older toddler.
Cheaply Made - Don't Buy Jun 21, 2010 Our daughter received this car as a present. When assembling it, we noticed that the plastic molded door was an inch too short and would not shut securely, but rather swing in and out. (Not a great safety feature) I called Little Tykes customer service and they said that this happens and they'll send me a new door free of charge in 7-10 business days. TWENTY business days later, it arrived and was the exact size of the previous door. Frustrated and feeling sorry for our daughter, we returned this car and got the Little Tikes Deluxe Cozy Convertible Car for $20 more (it doesn't have a door - you just put your child in it-we figured we'd avoid the door problem entirely). That, too, was a disaster. The first one we bought was missing parts, so we had to return it. The second one we bought had an obstruction in the plastic mold where the parent handle was supposed to insert. We ended up returning it, as well. What a disappointment. It is clear that these toys are cheaply made. That's not surprising-these are plastic kids toys, we weren't expecting them to be street legal! What's surprising is that ALL THREE Little Tykes products either had missing parts or were defective, which was extremely frustrating. We will never buy Little Tykes again.
Can't Keep My Daughter out of it! Jun 21, 2010 I bought this Cozy Coupe for my daughters first birthday! And no surprise she loved it she is always sitting in it and wanting to be pushed around in it! And when we can she uses it as a walker! This product was very easy to put together and the parts were the instructions were confusing the assembly video Little Tykes put out for it cleared everything up!
For those who can't find the video on the little tykes site here is a link to it!
