nice tent with pros and cons Jul 23, 2010
i like:
it's very easy to set up, took me longer the first time, but now only 5 minutes and it's set up without any help and also take it apart without help.
i took it with me to the beach and it was of great use there. i nursed in the tent, used it as sunshade and baby could have slept in the tent, but she was too excited about the beach fun that time. and it protected us from the piping hot sand because it has a bottom.
it's a lot of fun for my 2 year old. She loves to play in the tent.
i didn't like:
it smells very strong from the fresh plastic material the first few times you use it. that was a big turn off for me, i left it outside for a few days, it was rained on and it still smells some.
it can get uncomfortably hot inside the tent on a very hot summerday when it's over 90 degrees. it helps a little when the side zipper is undone, but it was still pretty uncomfortable inside the tent until it cooled down to the 70s or lower 80s even though it has mesh openings on top for air to come in.
conclusion:
i like this tent and found it to be of good use at the beach and probably in other places, too. I did not regret my purchase despite the two negative points.

I bought this for my dog as an indoor dog house. I live somewhere central heating is not available. The only reason I gave this product a three star, being nice by the way, was b/c the bottom part was torn.

We bought this tent because we were going to a hotel & instead of making my 4 year old sleep on the floor (to save a little extra cash) I thought it would be fun to get her something to "camp out" in. She LOVED IT! when it arrived, i set it up & put her small TV in it, and some toys, she played all day, kept yelling how much she loved me. a few days later, we set it up in her room again for a "test night" she slept perfectly, had plenty of room, could fit a friend in there if she wanted a sleep over!!
so far this tent has been very durable, we have fit many toys in it, no rips or tears.
my only complaint is it's hard to keep the "flaps" open on the front, she doesn't want them shut at night.

If you live with indoor cats, you'll be very happy to know that after a month of use, there are still no puncture wounds; even with the cats play fighting with one another on either side of the tent material! For parents, the "skylights" offer easy viewing of the inside while providing good ventilation/lighting. We only use it indoors but it looks sturdy enough to be used outdoors on good weather days. It's the most cheery furnishing we have and our two year old loves it too! Btw, in addition to its 4'x4' footprint, you'll need some space around the perimeter to allow the kids to run around and jump in/out without getting hurt.

Setup is quick and easy, breaks down into a tiny roll about 14 or so inches long and about 6 inches thick.
Didn't see any built in way to hold the flaps open but didn't search too hard yet for anything not obviously visible.
Not so overwhelming that it cannot be used in the house, which was where i wanted it for, a place my 6 year old can play fort. We already had a tunnel so he's in heaven.
Not the most durable thing in the world, but for the price I wasn't looking for some nice canvas or anything...
